Question and Answers

J How can i clean my laptop screen????? - J My laptop has fingerprints and marks but i need a safe way to take them off.
Best Answer: Did a little research to make sure my answer was correct and yes just as I thought you need a damp cloth and nothing that can damage the screen! If you are using just a damp cloth to wipe the screen, be sure to dry it off as well to prevent streaking. When cleaning the Computer monitor casing use a soft cloth with your cleaning fluid. Always spray onto the cloth, not the equipment! Conventional wisdom is that you should only clean a screen with a damp cloth, as many screens have an anti-glare coating that you risk damaging if you use a harsh household cleaner. Even traditional window cleaners can damage some coatings and screens, especially on laptop computers. - Txgirl23
You need to use a PLASMA CLEAN spray 100% natural (non abrasive and alcohol free), go to your Computer store and ask for one. - Die_Niedel
I agree with sweet one. I used window cleaner on my desktop monitor and did something to the anti-glare coating. Now it's all smudgy looking. I was told that the same stuff people use to clean glasses is safe for monitors. - Mike
